If you read many beauty blogs, especially British ones, this lil brush thing will look quite familiar to you. The Tangle Teezer is kind of a big deal right now. I decided to order one, just to give it a shot. I had horrible, awful tangles in my previously bleached hair, and I was afraid that if I didn't do anything about it soon I would get dreads (exaggerating a bit...).
Well fear not, I am not going to end up looking like Ras Trent! This thing really does work so well. One use and I was totally hooked. With just a few minutes and very little pain, the tangles that I couldn't tame for weeks were gone! I'm not exactly sure how this works, but I think the thin bristles have a lot of give, so they it doesn't yank excessively on tangles it can't separate. But a few more strokes through and it gets everything. It also only initially goes through thinner layer of hair than most regular brushes, if that makes sense. Regardless, the point is it works. Today I was just marveling at how easy it makes it to pull your hair back neatly.
I am so glad I didn't wait any longer to try out the Tangle Teezer. This is really a holy grail product, y'all. The only thing I don't like is that it is plastic, not green in any way. But I'm hoping this holds up for a long time, so it won't land up in a landfill. Other than that, I say, if you struggle to keep your hair combed out, do yourself a favor and treat yo self to a Tangle Teezer.
