I will always remember that first time I had fresh passionfruit juice in the Miami Airport. I've wanted all passion fruit everything ever since. It is just about my favorite flavor/scent ever. I'm obsessed. Guava is a longtime favorite as well. So obviously I needed to try Deep Steep's Passion Fruit Guava Body Butter ($4.99 for 6 oz).
Now this has a very fruity, slightly guava-ish scent, but not so much passion fruit to me. Initially, I was disappointed because I obviously wanted this to transform me into a walking, talking passion fruit/guava. But with continued use, it has really grown on me. Its a nice break from a lot of the more traditionally natural scented products I use. If you're someone who wants to smell more tropical drink than herb garden, this is a good one for you. I found that layering this body butter with my Champagne Pear fragrance from Nessa's Naturals creates a perfect mix of bubbly, fruity and a dash of soapiness.
And as I've previously written, I really like this unique formula of body butter. It is thick, and a little less emollient than a regular lotion type product. It really absorbs quickly, and is very non-greasy. It's a great hand cream for to keep on your desk because it doesn't turn your skin into an oil slick. I'll be repurchasing again and again. Perhaps in some of the other scents, to satisfy my curiosity.
